Stumbling upon new discoveries and random happenings is part of the magic here at the Woodford Folk Festival.
And just like finding a new favourite act or making a new friend, discovering the delicious food and drink scattered around every corner of the festival is half the adventure.
The Food Trail features culinary delights hailing from all corners of the world, with every cuisine you could imagine – from Thai to Greek, Mexican to Eritrean, Indian to Spanish, Argentinian to Turkish, Middle Eastern to Japanese… we could go on.
Follow your nose and let it guide you to your lunchtime destiny, or grab a map of the Food Trail in the programme booklet and get planning!
Think you’ve tried it all? Think again!
We are excited to welcome some incredible new additions this year – handpicked from the cream of the crop – which we know you’re going to love.
The Pie and Cronut Place will make their debut with Bronwyn’s famous ‘Yamba Pies’, and their delicious cronuts. 20 different flavours of slow-cooked chunky pies wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry, and warm cinnamon-sugar-rolled, filled cronuts will be waiting for you when that hunger strikes.
Double Dip Diner are bringing their American diner style game with big burgers, tex-mex, tacos and diner style treats. In their awesome retro airstream food truck, they’ll be sure to please vegos, vegans and meat-lovers alike.
Marinade is a speciality in slow cooking, serving up meals made with patient love and dedication. Their marinated lamb is marinated for 72 hours before slow cooking for 10. Is your mouth watering yet?
Keep an eye out for the other awesome new kids on the block!
Oldies but goodies
Many of the stalls you know and love are joining us again, making their annual pilgrimage to Woodfordia to work hard for us during the holiday season.
To keep you on your toes we’re shuffling many of the food stalls around this year and sending you on a new adventure of culinary discovery – so if you’re hungry and you have your heart set on one, make sure you check it on the Food Trail map, you’ll find it on page 137 of the programme booklet.
Long-time friends Spaghetti Junction, Govindas, Little Brazil, Iggy’s Bakery, Curried Away, Black Crest Coffee, Gourmet Goons, Muang Thai and the Mango Shack are among some of the patron-favourites joining us again this year.
Gourmet Goons and Little Brazil will be forming a buzzing new dining hub on the road to the Grande, which will be a vibrant meeting spot with hands on activities like arts and crafts, as well as shady space to take refuge from the heat.
We want to say a big thank you in advance to all the hardworking stallholders that will be making their way to the festival this year to tantalise our tastebuds.
From simple to gourmet, healthy to totally indulgent, sweet to savoury, light to large and everything in between, the challenge will be choosing. Best to come for six days!
Make sure you book your tickets online, and check out the full list of food and drink stalls on pages 124-127 of the programme booklet. You can view it online here.
