“I am a high school music teacher in South Brisbane and this will be my 15th Woodford.
“I have sung the praises of the festival to my music students ever since I began teaching 11 years ago, and so far I have had 13 attend the festival, 3 go on to become regular volunteers and 1 even perform.
“One of the main reasons I push and push for them to attend is so they can experience that unbelievable eye‐opening feeling I felt at my first Woodford all those years ago.
“I feel my teaching philosophy fits perfectly with the Woodford spirit. I encourage acceptance, adventure, self‐discovery, kindness and creativity.
“The school I teach at is very culturally diverse, and I have used many ideas I have picked up at Woodford in my lessons and in the planning of wider‐school activities.
“I plan to continue to encourage my students to attend this amazing place, full of amazing people so that, like me, they can be inspired beyond their imaginations.”
